Compatibility

The BellMe wireless nurse call system does not make use of intercoms as this requires wiring and sometimes end up being more of a hassle than what it is worth. Please speak to a consultant for options available to allow two-way communication via our cameras that work with Wi-Fi.
No, if you have a wireless infrastructure at your establishment it will not interfere with the BellMe nurse call system and vice versa. Our system works on a radio frequency of 433.92MHz and would not interfere with the mentioned equipment unless they are also running on 433.92MHz.
BellMe does not recommend using another system’s items with the BellMe products as our Nurse Call System works on a radio frequency of 433MHz and we cannot guarantee that another system other than our own will be compatible.

Technical

The BellMe nurse call system works on a 433.92MHz frequency
Unfortunately, the frequency of the BellMe nurse call system cannot be changed.
You will start needing signal repeaters when the distance between your calling point and receiver reaches anything from 250m in line of sight. The ultimate answer will depend on the surroundings and features of your property. The only way to accurately determine this is by doing a site inspection and test.
Not at all, the BellMe nurse call system does not require an internet connection to operate as it works on a radio frequency of 433.92MHz. You will only require an internet connection if you wish to download the reporting software, but once it has been downloaded the internet connection is no longer needed.

Installation

The PC or Laptop that you would like the BellMe nurse call system software to run on needs to have Windows XP or higher and need to be switched on at all times while being connected to the display panel via a LAN Cable of no longer of 10m.
The BellMe nurse call system is wireless as the buttons only require batteries and works on a radio frequency of 433.92MHz. Each display panel and LED Light will require a power source. We recommend using dedicated plug points in the ceilings to avoid them from being unplugged by mistake. We provide the power cable which makes use of a 2-pin plug point. All our power cables are 12V. We also recommend that you run these through a UPS to avoid any damage or downtime in the case of power outages.

Feature

Yes, all BellMe nurse call system buttons are waterproof. We do, however, recommend using the Single Key Call & Cancel buttons in more accident-prone areas such as showers and toilets etc.
The BellMe nurse call system buttons do have a light that comes on while you are pressing it but once you let go of the button the light will also go off. The purpose of the light is for the person pressing it to have visual confirmation that their alert is being sent out to the receiver.
The BellMe nurse call system unfortunately does not have the functionality to link to a TV.
Yes, one BellMe nurse call system button can be linked to unlimited receivers.

Maintenance

The battery life of your nurse call system buttons depends on how often the button is pressed. We recommend checking the batteries every 6 months. When you press the button and the light flickers or is very dim, you will know that the battery is low and needs changing. Some establishments have used the same batteries for over 5 years!
The battery life depends on the use of the wristwatch. We recommend you check the watch after each shift. You will also be able to see the batery life displayed on the wristwatch.

Alert

The last call that comes through to the nurse call system receiver will be the first one that gets cancelled. Should you have individual cancel buttons for each call button then the cancel button you press will determine which call is cancelled .

Yes, all the BellMe nurse call system display panels have the option to change the volume of the alert.
Unfortunately, the BellMe nurse call system LED light only has one volume. You do however have the option to mute the LED light and have it flash only with no noise.
The volume of the BellMe nurse call system wristwatch can unfortunately not be changed. You have the option to set the watch to vibrate only, beep only or do both.
The BellMe nurse call system wristwatch will only alert you once. The calling information will remain displayed on the watch until it has been cancelled by pressing the ENT button, but it will unfortunately not continue to make a noise to remind you.
The BellMe nurse call system sends an alert to your chosen receiver on the same property wirelessly, via radio frequency, and unfortunately does not link to emergency services.
The BellMe system sends an alert to your chosen receiver wirelessly via radio frequency and unfortunately does not send an SMS or link to emergency services.
The BellMe nurse call system alert will be sent to your chosen receiver which has to be on the same property or within range as the BellMe wireless nurse call system works on a radio frequency of 433.92MHz.

Warranty

All BellMe nurse call system products have a 2-year warranty. As of May 2018, the Single Key Call & Cancel Buttons now have a 5-year warranty.
The BellMe nurse call system display panels are unfortunately not covered for lightning damage under the warranty. We recommend you use a UPS and have the display panel run through the UPS to avoid any damage to the screen in the case of lightning and/or power outages.

Delivery

BellMe makes use of courier services and are able to send orders to anywhere within South Africa.
BellMe can send parcels to anywhere within South Africa. You can arrange with your courier services to collect from your chosen collection point in South Africa.
BellMe will only release stock after full payment has cleared in our account. Once payment has cleared, we will send your parcel via courier services the next working day. Should we not have the stock on hand for your order the preparation period is between 14-21 working days. The availability of stock will always be discussed with you should we not have what you need on hand. We will also keep you updated via email or telephone of any progress or if there are any delays that are beyond our control.

Support

Once the installation of your nurse call system has been done, we are available for callouts as well as remote support via telephone, email and WhatsApp. We also have helpful videos on our YouTube channel.

Pricing

The price of a BellMe nurse call system will depend on your requirements and quantities. Contact us for a free quotation or download our catalogue with our price list and terms & conditions.
BellMe will quote you for the nurse call system buttons and batteries separately.
You will receive once-off training on the nurse call system upon installation, free of charge, provided that you request training in advance. We also have YouTube videos available that we can send to you upon request. Telephonic troubleshooting and remote assistance is also available during working hours. If you still require further assistance after this, the applicable call-out fees will apply.
BellMe Nurse Call Systems are a once-off purchase and does not tie you into a contract with monthly fees. Once you have purchased the system and full payment has been received, the nurse call system belongs to you.
